USA Hockey Locker Room Supervision Policy

USA Hockey is concerned with Locker Room activities between minor players, minor players and adult players, adults being alone with individual minor players in locker rooms, and with non-official or non-related adults having unsupervised access to minor participants at sanctioned team events.

It is the Policy of USA Hockey that all Affiliates, Districts, Leagues, and Local Hockey Programs have at least one responsible adult present directly monitoring the Locker Room during all team events to assure that only participants (coaches and players), approved team personnel, and family members are permitted in the Locker Room and to supervise the Conduct in the Locker Room.

Any individual meetings with a minor participant and a coach in a Locker Room shall require a responsible adult be with the coach.

Further, responsible adults must personally monitor the Locker Room environment at all times while participants are present and also make sure the Locker Room is appropriately secured during times when minor participants are on the ice.

Teams, Leagues, and Local Hockey Associations shall also comply with the USA Hockey Coed Locker Room Policy.

Mini One on One

On Saturday March 26, 2011 the District's Mini One on One competition was held at the Canton Rink.
Emerging as winners out of the double-elimination format was a Mite team from Weymouth, a Squirt team from Franklin, and a Girls U12 team from Canton.

These teams have qualified to participate at the TD Garden on Sunday September 11, 2011 for a chance to be seen in between periods of Boston Bruins home games during the 2011-2012 season.
There was not enough entries at the Girls U10 to hold a competition at that age level locally
BUT an Open competition was conducted at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro last April.

Both Girls Age groups (U10 & U12) Check-in at 8:15am, on the ice at 9:00am for warm-ups.
8 & Under Mite Division Check-in at 10:15am, on ice at about 11:15am for warm-ups.
10 & Under Squirt Division Check-in at 1:15pm, on ice at about 2:15pm for warm-ups.

All qualifying participants should have been contacted at this time with important information.
